Legal Marriage Ceremony (Religious & Civil Ceremony)
A legal wedding ceremony in Indonesia comprises of two separate ceremonies - a religious ceremony performed by a minister, priest, Penghulu (Muslim) or Celebrant (Hindu or Buddhist) of one of the five recognized religions in Indonesia (Protestant, Catholic, Muslim,
Hindu and Buddhist) followed
by a civil ceremony which will be performed by an officer of the Civil Registrants office. At Bali Wedding Bells we can organize a legal wedding for all 5 of the recognized religions including Hindu weddings for Indian couples. A couple is also required to make an application for a "Certificate
of Non Impediment" or a similar document which is issued by your Embassy or Consulate just prior to the wedding day. Requirements to obtain a Certificate of Non Impediment (CNI) will be based on your nationality. The visit to your Embassy or Consulate must be conducted in person but,
if your country has a
Consulate in Bali, a staff member of Bali Wedding Bells can escort you to the Consulate. Bali Wedding Bells will attend to all other registrations and documentation requirements
for both Religious and Civil Registration. Legal procedures for weddings...[Read more...]
Civil Marriage Ceremony
The Civil Ceremony will be conducted by an officer of the Civil Registrants office at a convenient time soon after the completion of the religious ceremony.
The process of registration and documentation for a fully legal wedding is not as daunting as it sounds and Bali Wedding Bells will direct you at every stage with required documentation and will conduct all of the local registrations. Our costs for a legal wedding include
all costs associated with the legal registrations and documentation as well as the attendance at your wedding of your priest and the civil registrant but you must pay the CNI fee required by your Embassy at the time of application.

Religious Wedding Ceremony (with Church Marriage Certificate)
This is a normal religious wedding ceremony which would be conducted by a minister or priest of your religion and you will receive a church marriage certificate. This can be held by couples who have already been married in a civil ceremony in their home country or who wish
to have the religious ceremony here in Bali and hold the civil ceremony on their return to their home country. Catholic couples will need to produce all of the required church documentation to have a religious ceremony performed by a priest and can also choose to have a full mass.
Commitment and Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Commitment and Vow Renewal ceremonies are held before a Celebrant and cannot, in the case of a commitment ceremony, be part of a legal
marriage ceremony as Indonesian law requires the completion of a religious ceremony and a copy of a church marriage certificate before it can conduct the
legalizing civil ceremony.
Commitment ceremonies are often chosen by couples who have already legally married in their home country and wish to celebrate their wedding
with family and friends in a less formal and relaxed ceremony. Many couples choose to visit Bali every year to celebrate a special wedding anniversary
with a romantic, tropical Vow Renewal ceremony combined with a second honeymoon. Couples will receive a commemorative wedding certificate for
both the Commitment and Vow Renewal celebrations.
Balinese Traditional Ceremonial Wedding Blessing
This type of ceremony is also a blessing only and is held in a true Balinese wedding style with all the color and pageantry of a local
wedding. The cost for your Balinese blessing ceremony will include the full dress costumes and makeup for the bride and groom as well as an escort of
Balinese flower girls and umbrella boys to escort you to the ceremony. You will also receive a commemorative wedding certificate of the ceremony.
As you can see, at Bali Wedding Bells we offer a ceremony to suit all couples and a choice of venues to suit all styles from traditional
churches to luxurious villa or hotel weddings, maybe you would prefer a simple ceremony in a scented tropical garden or on a beachfront at sunset.
